Description

Hydraloc Lockbolt & Collars

Avlock Hydraloc Lockbolt and collar fasteners are a type of mechanical fastening system used to securely join two or more components together. They are commonly used in applications where high strength and reliability are required, such as in heavy machinery, automotive assembly, construction, and aerospace industries.

Lockbolt fasteners consist of two main components: the pin and the collar. The pin is a cylindrical metal shaft with a threaded end and a smooth shank. The collar is a metal sleeve that slides over the smooth shank of the pin. To install a lockbolt fastener, the pin is inserted through the pre-drilled holes in the components to be joined, and then a special tool is used to pull the pin, causing it to deform and expand inside the collar. This creates a permanent, high-strength joint that resists vibration, shock, and tampering.

Hydrabom Blind Lockbolt & Collars

Hydrabom is specially designed Heavy Duty, vibration resistant and mechanically locked blind fasteners which are used in various structural applications. These type of fasteners have single-side access & provides fast and efficient fastening of joints with the help of our Installation tool with minimum effort and inspection

Blind lockbolts are a type of fastener similar to blind rivets, but they offer a higher shear and tensile strength compared to traditional blind rivets. They consist of a threaded pin and a collar. The pin is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in the materials to be joined, and the collar is placed over the protruding end of the pin. A specialized tool is used to pull the pin, causing it to deform and expand within the collar, creating a tight and secure joint

Cleveloc Nut

The Cleveloc nut is a low cost one-piece self-locking nut with superior locking and re-usability characteristics. The locking collar is an integral part of the nut and is formed into a geometrically developed ellipse. This provides two locking elements of consistently uniform shape and thread contour which permit the bolt threads to engage smoothly during assembly.

Locking nuts, including those with proprietary names like "Cleveloc Nut," typically feature a design that prevents them from loosening due to vibrations or other forces acting on the assembly. There are several types of locking nuts available in the market, each with its own mechanism for achieving a secure lock.
An all-metal lock nut, as the name suggests, is a type of locking nut that achieves its locking functionality without the use of non-metallic inserts like nylon. Instead, it relies on the design of the nut itself to prevent loosening. These nut has a special elliptical top section with threads that are slightly out of round. When tightened, these threads deform elastically, creating interference between the nut and the bolt or stud, preventing rotation and loosening.
