HYDRALOC LOCKBOLT & COLLAR

Avlock Hydraloc Lockbolt and collar fasteners are a type of mechanical fastening system used to securely join two or more components together. They are commonly used in applications where high strength and reliability are required, such as in heavy machinery, automotive assembly, construction, and aerospace industries.

Lockbolt fasteners consist of two main components: the pin and the collar. The pin is a cylindrical metal shaft with a threaded end and a smooth shank. The collar is a metal sleeve that slides over the smooth shank of the pin. To install a lockbolt fastener, the pin is inserted through the pre-drilled holes in the components to be joined, and then a special tool is used to pull the pin, causing it to deform and expand inside the collar. This creates a permanent, high-strength joint that resists vibration, shock, and tampering.

Once placed a visual inspection is sufficient to check that fasteners have been installed correctly.

Excellent Vibration Resistance
Lockbolt and collar joints are permanent and provide clamp load of over 200 KN, the joint resist loosening caused by vibration when all other standard methods of fastening fail.
